Cold Coffee / Coffee with ice cream

Its been quite a while that I posted a recipe, though I have been doing lots of cooking! So thought would share a simple coffee making process that is apt for summer!

Its summer here in Australia and lately its been terribly hot with temperatures reaching upto mid 30’s! Today has been so hot that I was frightened to do my regular coffee run in the morning and afternoon! So I finally decided to experiment and make myself a cold coffee, so that my body gets some caffiene whilst it does not burn me down in this heat!

Cold Coffee

Ingredients:

Milk - 1/2 cup

A spoon of Instant Coffee powder or a double shot of coffee (espresso)

A spoon of sugar (or as per taste)

2 scoops of ice cream ( I used vanilla flavour today, but I think butterscotch or chocolate will also be very good!)

Some chocolate flakes or syrup for garnishing

Ice cubes (4 or 5 them to make it cold)

So I took a blender, put the milk, sugar, cofffee powder (I use Rober Timms at home), 1.5 scoops of ice cream and ice cubes and blended well!

Now pour the mixture in to a serving glass and put the remaining half scoop of ice cream in it! Garnish with chocolate flakes or syrup (I dint do the garnishing as I dint have chocolate handy at home)

Serve chilled!

I had a very pleasant evening sitting in my balcony with my husband, enjoying the fresh air and the cold coffee! :)
